Word 7.0 ???

Corbin O'Reilly

I am currently running Office 2000. I was asked by an employee today how to
save a Word 2000 document in Word 7.0 format? There is no option under Save
As to save in Word 7.0 format. There is Word 6.0/95 and of course Word 97.
Is Word 7.0 actually another name for Word 95? Please help. Thanks.

Corbin,

I don't remember what Word version 7 is but rest assure that even if you
save a file in an earlier version of Word any current version can open
it. So if someone has version 7 and the file is saved under version 6,
you should be able to open it with no problems. This is known as
backward compatible.
