Word 97 And 2002 Tables Problem

I am having some trouble with back compatibility using
tables in word. if i create a table within a table using
Word 2002 and then view this document in Word 97 the table
is gone and all the information is structured in
paragraphs.

Is there any way to over come this?

Hi Gareth,

Not really, nested tabes are not supported in Word 97.
Quite a few new features were introduced in Word 2000 and 2002 that make
backward compatibility to Word 97 tricky as far as tables are concerned.

If you need backward compatibility, go to the Save tab of Tools | Options
and check "Disable features introduced after Word 97."
