word 97 cannot view jpg

I cannot view a inserted jpg in a word document, however I
can view it in print preview, Any suggestions!!!

Hi John,

If you cannot view it in Print Layout view
see if turning off the [x] Picture Placeholder setting
in Tools=>Options=>View helps.
