Word 97 colors

Chancing that one or two of you might feel that this is redundant, if Word
97 allows unlimited colors for 'background', but only a very few colors for
fonts, then it was obviously designed with the intent to encourage the
purchase of later versions. In my stubborn offense, I am hoping that someone
in Newsgroupland will broadcast the magical secret to rectify what I view as
an egregious offense. So.... how is it done? There has GOT to to be an
answer to this!

Cute, but securing font colors would never be worth an additioal 100 bucks
(or whatever), especially considering that Word 97 has, and will likely
continue to give me everything that I can imagine to need for some time into
the future.

....except unlimited colors. :( I, too, am using Word97 with no plans
of upgrading. I'm lucky, though, as I'm still using a laser printer
with only black and white. LOL

Well, Zilbandy, (stupid me!), I discovered that you can type anything you
want into a "new message" of Internet Explorer, and it affords you all the
colors you could possibly want! Try it out!
