Word 97 document/data source to Word 2003

How do you add data to a previously created (in older version) data source?
I can view the data source, however cannot find how to add to it.

Probably your best way is to restore the Mailmerge Helper that you were used
to in 97. From the Tools menu, select Customize and then select the
Commands tab in the Customize dialog. Select the All commands category and
scroll down through the list of commands until you come to the Mailmerge
Helper item. Left click and drag it onto a toolbar.

Doug (or anyone else),

I have tried your suggestion and added the add/remove records icons to the
toolbar. When I click on 'add' I receive a dialog box asking for
deliminators for field and record. What do I insert here? I've tried tab
for the field deliminator and enter for record. I then receive the error:
'Current selection does not contain a valid table or list.' I have selected
a form letter with merged fields and the datasource attached.

How can I get past this without re-creating the wheel.

What was the original data source (created in the older version)? Maybe you
can just open that file directly using File>Open and add what you need to
it.
