Thanks for your prompt reply.
After I uninstalled, I did deleted:
Normal.dot
Custom.dic
*.xlb
Personal.xls
Blank.pot
*.pst
*.pab
*.acl except Mso97.acl
And any personal templates that might be in the Templates folder.
In Windows Explorer, I deleted the following folders
x:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
x:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Vba
x:\Program Files\Common Files\ODBC
x:\Windows\Temp\Vbe
I did try your suggestion. Only one Normal.dot was found. I renamed it and
tried to start Word. Again, the computer froze.
Please help.
Thanks,
AJS
| When you uninstall/reinstall Word a new Normal.dot is not
| automatically created. Your personal settings will be preserved.
|
| Did you try searching for all occurrences of Normal.dot as I
| suggested?
