I recently installed an older version of Dragon Speaking
Naturally. For compatability reasons, I had to install
it in a windows '98 "compatability mode". Anyway, the
speech reg. software didn't work and I removed the Dragon
program. Afterwards there was a large "Speaking
naturally" bar on the top toolbar which I can't remove.
In addition, whenever I open my word '97 now, I get the
following error messge: "Unable to change to the
required directory. Error opening Registry Key". After I
click on OK, the word page works normally. I just dont'
like the extra keystroke to open my word program.
I should mention that I've also recently installed the
Textbridge 9 OCR program. I don't know if this has
anything to do with the second problem.
I've removed and reinstalled word twice and have restored
my system twice, all to no effect.
I'm using XP on a newer computer. My copy of word '97
comes from my Home Essentials '98 disk.
While I'm here, does anyone know if it's possible to buy
Word 2000 (legally) with an on-line download?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
