Word 97 Error Message

Hello!

This error message comes up on one of my customers
computers. It is more of a nuisance than anything else.
It doesn't appear to cause any great problems with the
running of the software, but they would like it solved,
and I'm not entirely sure what would be causing it.

Run-Time Error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
Method 'PrivateProfileString' of object 'System' failed

It is Microsoft Word 97 running under Windows 95 (4.0)
with 32MB of RAM, and P166. Any assistance that can be
rendered would be greatly appreciated.

Jeffrey,

Thanks for your response. I am actually unsure whether
they still have the software, but I was hoping for an
easy solution to solve the problem. The difficulty
being, any downtime on their computer would impact on
their business. I have them doing defrag's regularly,
and scandisk from time to time. I did mention to them
over time that the OS tends to become a little unstable,
but up until now they've not had any major problems.
They realise they will have to upgrade their computers
soon, but they are trying to put it off for as long as
they can as they have bills, bills, bills and more bills
to pay at this point in time. Again, thanks for your
help. If you do happen to come across a simpler option,
it would be great to hear about it.
