Word 97 "opens" but is not visible after xp sp-2 install.

After I installed XP SP-2, Word 97 appears to open but then is not visible. I
have to close the program by right clicking on the icon in the task bar.

When you right-click the button on the Taskbar, do you see Maximize and
Minimize enabled and Restore disabled? If so, Word is opening in a Normal
window offscreen. Open any other window (if there's not already another
open), right-click on an empty area of the Taskbar, and choose Cascade or
one of the Tile options. This should bring your Word window back onscreen.
Use the mouse to move and size it to your preference, then quit Word. When
you restart, the window should be where you left it.
