Word 97 problems, Word encountered file corruption, VB message & text
with path names added to documents.
I'm having some weird problems on a PC. When opening Word documents
(or at least some of them), an error message immediately apears
saying:
Word encountered file corruption while opening
C:\Windows\..\PATHNAME\OURDOCNAME.doc Part of this document may be
recoverable. Attempt Recovery now? (Of course I replaced the pathname
& file name from our real ones)
Sometimes a VB error will also appear.
On Friday I virus scanned the computer with eTrust Anti-virus that's
on the PC (definitions were up to date). I also scanned with Trend
Micro's online Housecall. Neither found a virus. I also copied a
couple files on a disk, scanned the disk and nothing was found. The
files I tried worked fine on the other PC without any error messages.
Today, it was noticed that at least one of the documents contained the
entire document, but after the document it had added text:

I didn't bother typing some of the repeated lines in here.
Any idea what is causing this? I read about a corupt template file
somewhere online, but i'm not sure. One of the errors had mentioned
HP+drv so I was thinking maybe a failed printer driver. I removed &
re-installed all of the printer drivers.
Thanks
