Word 97 reverts all the time!

For some reason, the Word 97 I use has decided to prompt me to "revert to Saved
file" whenever I open an existing Word doc!

Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden?

I can't remember for sure, but I BELIEVE this error was related to
having old temp versions of previously crashed files left over.

Check out this article and clear your temp folder. Then restart Word
and see if that helps.
