Word 97, Windows98

When I open Word from shortcut it always comes up with Document1, which I
don't want to happen. In Help it says you can add startup switch to the end
of the path in Properties Target box: To start Word without opening a
specific document, type /n.
I have tried this but it comes up with message path name invalid. Any
suggestions? Thanks Sybil Fox

No that must have been one version I didn't try so when I just did with a
space first it worked. So thank you both.

Now I've got that Doc1 out of the way I come to the 1st of my current
problems: I've used Word 97 with Windows98 and little trouble but in the
last year I am getting several.
1. Start Word from desktop shortcut, open a document I've been working on,
then when I have been working on it or even if I don't work on it (as just
now just to test) exit, it prompts 'Do you want to save changes' & whether I
say Y or N, it then comes up with following error:

WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in module MS097 DLLat 016f:30701070.
Registers etc. etc.

& shuts Word down. As I was exiting anyway it does not seem to matter too
much but it does mystify me.

Leaving it at that now & when solved will pass on to next.

Thanks Sybil Fox
