I am hoping someone has an answer to a frustrating
problem I have with Word 2002.
Our company has recently swapped from running NT with
Word 97 to running XP with Word 2002.
In Word 97 when you used the File Open option, you were
presented with a dialogue box which allowed you to find
documents within the open folder by using the find
function. It would simply find all documents in the open
folder that contained the key words entered. The beauty
of this was that you could PREVIEW a number of documents
that matched your key word search without opening them.
This was useful finding an old document which you could
just modify to suit the new requirements.
This function is not available in Word 2002 - File Open
and the search function (which is more convoluted)does
not seem to allow you to simply preview (more than one)
docs without physically opening them.
Thanks
