word 97

I lost my word 97 program when I had to reformat my hard drive and I don't
have a backup copy. It thought all I had to do was drag the icon into a
backup file and save that to a disk but instead when I try to start it back
up it won't start. It just gives me a message. I need to find a download of
it so I can do my homework. can anyone help me?

I do not know any good source for downloading Microsoft Office.

If you have recorded your serial number somewhere, you can use someone's CD
or floppy set to install using your serial number. If not, you might find a
recent Office version at a discount price by searching around. Student
edition of Office 2003 is often heavily discounted.

Failing that, have a look at Open Office
