Word 97

I am using Word in Office Pro 97 on a Vista machine and everything seems to
be working fine. I do have a small "inconvenience" though. In creating
labels I have all kinds of Avery templates but since I am using a 1997
program there are lots of Avery labels that have been created by Avery since
1997 that do not appear in the drop-down label-options menu. Could someone
please tell me how to update my list of Avery label templates to reflect
Avery's newer ones. Thanks in advance.

I also use Word 97. I haven't thought about updating but when I need to
print a label of a size that's not specified I set up a custom label. You
are aware, are you not, that you can do this?

Yes, Rob, that is what I have been doing - I have created 3 custom labels so
far. Last week a friend let me babysit his laptop with Word 2003 and I
found all 3 of these custom labels. This is what brought to mind the idea
of updating the Avery whatever-you-call-it. I don't even know in what file
in what folder the Avery labels are, otherwise I would ask my friend to give
me a copy of that particular 2003 file and experiment with it on my 97.

Have you tried the Avery web site to see if they have a file you can
upload and "install" in Word?
