Word 98 for Mac - Upgrade?

Is there an upgrade for MS Word 98 for Mac?

I just got an iMac G4. Every time I open a Word 98 document, it opens
in a trial version of Office v. X and tells me how many days I have to
accept the offer to buy it before the test drive runs out.

I don't qualify for the relatively affordable student/teacher version, and
the other two versions are far more than I need, and more than I want
to pay. Any suggestions?

Right now the list price for an upgrade from Word 98 to Word v.X
(not Office) is $109. You may be able to find it somewhat cheaper at
a reseller.

But I'm not sure from your post that you really want to upgrade - do
you? If not, remove the Trial version of Office v.X and choose Word
98 as the application to open your Word files.
