Word '98 problem

After years of no problems, suddenly I cannot drag a desktop doc to a
file folder to save it there. It only will copy to a file folder, and
the original doc remains on the desktop. The MSW help menu does not
address this, and MSW preferencs menu does not have an option to change
this. Suggestions?

I'm afraid MS Help doesn't address it because it is not a MS issue - this is
a aprt of your Mac OS functionality. The explaination/solution may vary
depending on which version of Mac OS, but you can get what you need at;

Try rebuilding your desktop. If that doesn't work, follow CyberTaz's link.
