word 98

we currently have office 98 installed on G4 home computer, running in
Classic. somehow the visual basic editor has completely vanished so
now every time i open word i get a message saying that these files may
have been moved or deleted. i tried reinstalling but that has not
fixed the problem. HELP????

Does the problem consist solely of this annoying message every time you open
Word, or is there something that is actually not working?

If you go to Tools | Macros, select any Macro name, and click Edit, what
happens? (it should flip you into the Visual Basic Editor)

I believe in Word 98/2001 the Visual Basic Help had to be installed
separately from the Value Pack Installer, I wonder if that could be your
problem.

Re-installing is unlikely to do any good unless you un-install by running
the Remove Office tool first, and can actually make things worse. More
