Word + Acces??

Hi there i hoep soem1 can help me over here,


I have made a A5 book in word. In that book i have a lot tables.
They look like this:

Code Name Place Point

The code stands for a player example.

I have made a database in acces where i keep the scores.
All the player get a code example A1 or B2 all a different one.

In the word-book in the tables the code stays always the same but the
playersname keep changing everytime i make a new tournament.

Is is there a way to import the player name , place etc etc. and than so
that everywhere the codes stands he must fill in the players name etc etc.

I hope some1 can help me i will save me a lot of time now i copy and past
the data en get al lot of faults.

I'm not certain I follow everything, here. Mostly the language barrier, I
think; you wouldn't be fluent in German, by any chance?

What version of Word/Access are we discussing?

Have you tried using "Insert Database" from the Data toolbar to bring across
the Access data?

My best guess is that you want a table in Word that reflects the information
for the current tournament? (In other words, you WANT the data to be
dynamic, and to change.) In this case, you'd use the "Insert Database", as
above, and make sure you "Insert Field" so that you have an active link.

and you'd probably find it easiest to set up a QUERY in Access, the result
of which is exactly the data you want to view in Word, and link to THAT,
rather than to a table. Then all you'd need to do is change the Query in
Access, rather than trying to fiddle around in Word.
