Word active window disappears

OS X 10.6.2, iMac (2007) 24 inch 4 GB, Word 12.2.3

Since I installed 10.6.2 on my system, I have an ongoing irritation with
Word 12.2.3 (Word 2008). After I print a file, the active window immediately
disappears behind one of the inactive Word windows. It¹s still there, I just
have to go looking for it. This does not seem to occur with any other
software I am using, including Entourage and Excel as well as non-MS
software. Is anyone else having this problem?

It will happen "less often" in OS 10.6.2.

The latest fixes for Word patched it to work with OS 10.6, which now gives
it problems working with OS 10.5.

Cheers

I don't know John -- I'm seeing the same sort of thing consistently in
10.6.2 but can't even force it to happen on my 10.4.11 system (I don't have
anything running 10.5.x right now). At first I thought it was just my
system, but I've been seeing more & more references to it in the group.

I intend to write up a report as soon as I can establish repro steps.

Hi Bob:

I know what you mean.

The only "layering" issue I am seeing regularly is Firefox on the MacPro.

The MacBook doesn't do it. Go figure... Both are OS 10.6.2.

Cheers
