Word add-in problem

A

Arepa

I am receiving the following message when opening Word: : "The add-in
template is not valid."

I have found the offending add-in but "remove" is not an option. I can't
figure out how to stop this message.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It depends on which add-in it is. You might need to uninstall the underlying
application that installed the add-in. Or, choose Tools - Templates and
Add-ins, and see if it's listed. If it is, can you remove it there?

Or, check Tools - Options - File Locations - Statup. Note that location, and
navigate there using Windows Explorer. If that folder contains a file
(*.dot, *.wll, etc.) corresponding to the add-in, delete it or move it to a
different folder.
