Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) We have now had a 4th report of the same problem since yesterday afternoon all from the same English class. Here are the specifics:
Student has research paper in Google Docs, they then use download as to save the document as a word doc for formatting and insertion of pictures off of the Internet to highlight and accent parts of their research paper. They are formatting the word document into 2 columns editing and making other changes, then suddenly one of 2 scenarios happen.
1. Pages of their document anywhere from 7 to 1/2 of the report disappear and anywhere from 500 to 1100 pages are automatically added to the end of the document.
2. Nothing is lost, pages just add to the document as above.
I have seen this and watched it. I opened a previously save version of one of the files that did not have the extra pages and then watched the page count number continuously increase above 500.
It seems to happen at random formatting instructions. One told Word to re-number her pages, one just inserted an image, one added a page break, and one has no clue what started it.
Any ideas?
