word and firewall settings

Hi,

I've set word in my MAC OS firewall to "Block incoming connections" - anyway, why does word need that???
After every start of word after login, I'm asked to allow or block incoming connections again. As word (and excel, ppt) are the only programs asking that everytime, I wonder if others have the same issue and if there's a work around. Other programs are blocked as well, but stay quiet then...

thanks, Matthias

Word needs a network connection to make the Help work, and to check for
updates, and to report crashes, and to send feedback.

Cheers

Thanks for that... but even with the 'BLOCK INCOMING CONNECTIONS' set in the firewall, word can access updates, help etc. without problems. So why should I allow word to accept incoming connections?
What is awkward, is that I'm everytime asked if I want to allow incoming connections for word. Other programs do not do that under the same conditions... so it's not a firewall problem.

best regards

Matthias
