Word and OS 10.5

When I am typing, the words do not show up until later (sometimes I
type a full line before things start to show up). I am using a MacBook
Pro with Leopard... I need help for that one.

If you move or click does the mouse, does that trigger the words to show up?

Which version of Word--exactly?

Hiya,
I think that the original poster wanted to say there is a delay
between time I type words/letter and them being displayed on Monitor.
Thinks I can think about to try:
* look for any addins or globals templates, look at tools>templates
and addins and look under global templates if you have anything
selected, if not follow further hints
* before going further I would try to run Repair and Verify disk
permission from Disk Utility and update office and then run Repair and
Verify disk permission again
* trashing normal template (http://word.mvps.org/mac/
MacWordNormal.html)
* trashing preferences (http://word.mvps.org/Mac/DamagedPrefs.html)
*(could be that speech recognition is on and Words waiting for input?
Cannot see, I'm not on Mac, can someone else please check it?)

Just wnated to check Does that happen for all documents or just for
some? If only for some document that it might be rather corruption of
document. Please let us know, how you are doing.
