Word and special arrow character

Hi,

When I open a new Word document and type -->, it will be converted as a
special arrow character. What is the ASC value of that character?

Hi Mika,

There's a simple way to find out. Select the caracter, open the VBA editor,
open the Immediate window (press Ctrl-G) and type "? Asc(Selection.Text)"
and press Enter. The charcater code of the first character of the selection
will be displayed on the line below.

Asc() or AscW() won't work, because Word inserts a protected symbol (Asc
returns 40).

If you select the symbol, and open the "Insert > Symbol" dialog, you'll see
the font and the code.
