After re-installing OS X 10.2.8 and MS Office 10.1.5, Word reads some of my
..doc files as templates and insists that I should save the files as .dot
files. This happened after I opened a week-old file (created before the
system re-install) and got the usual warning about macros, although that
file had none (to my knowledge). (I disabled macros for that file to
continue reading it.) I can create new Word doc files from scratch without
any problems, but some of the files I created before my system re-install
are still interpreted by Word as template files.
Norton Anti-Virus doesn't find any viruses on any of my drives. Is there a
fix for this that I'm missing?
This happened to me once before, but I don't recall how I fixed it. Maybe
someone can help --
Thanks,
Dave
