Word and the Archive Bite

Running Different flavors of Word and they have a common problem. When I
edit ANYNAME.DOC file which is stored on a Samba (Linux Red Hat) server and
save the ANYNAME.DOC file back to the Samba server, Word does not set on the
Archive Bite on the file and therefore the file does not get backed up when
I run differential backups.

This applies only to Word. Excel works just fine.

Get proper backup software.
Aby backup software that relies om the archive bit is badly designed.
