Word and Works freezes upon saving

Since a few days ago, everytime I try saving a file in Microsoft Word 2007,
it freezes. I do not know why...I tied reinstalling the program, copy and
pasting it into Works (it freezes there too) and cleaning my computer...but
it still freezes! Can someone please help me fix this?
I have Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.
