Word as part of office 2000 professional

Word will not load the error message winword has generated errors and will be
closed you need to restart the programme occurs. I have tried to repair the
programme in extremis i have erased and reloaded the programme but error
still occurs. Winfax pro v 10.00 has been loaded recently.

Any help appreciated

Winfax is almost certainly the problem. See this GAQ for a solution:

Note that uninstalling/reinstalling rarely does more than waste time as none
of the registry entries, templates or add-ins are affected - and 99% of the
time, that's where the problem lays.
