Word asks if I want to save changes when no changes were made (by me)

I have one document that keeps prompting me to save
changes, even if I just open a document and then close it
without making changes. I seem to have narrowed it down
to a table. If I delete the table, the prompt does not
appear. If I paste it back in, the prompt shows up again.
I can't figure out what is in that table that causes
this. It is a simple three column table, allows breaks
across pages. Nothing complex. Could it have anything to
do with breaking across pages, widow/orphan control or
anything like that? I have tables in other documents with
no problems.

Thanks to anyone who can offer suggestions!

Does the table contain fields? If so, check and see if Update Fields is
listed on the Undo list.
