Word AutoFormat Tables

I have created a new AutoFormat style for my Word tables, which has specific
table and header colours for the cell shading and borders. This all works
fine. The problem is I have also given the text a specific font size with
before and after paragraphing which Word is ignoring and appears to be taking
on the body copy size that I have set in the document styles. Has anyone had
this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
