word autoshapes callout problem

I have inserted a photo into a word document. I then want to add an autoshape
callout on top of the photo. This causes the photo to jump above or below the
autoshape. Even if I insert an autoshape above or below the photo, when I
drag the callout arrow over the photo, the photo jumps away. This did not
happen with my old computer and my old Office 2000 and my old Windows 2000.
It is happening with my new computer and my old Office 2000 and my new
Windows XP Home Edition. Can anyone help?
