Word Back up Doucument (*.wbk)

A

Alan Robley

Is there any way of recovering a *.wbk file. My laptop crashed and this
appears to be the back up that word has attempted to create.

I am using word 97 sr-2.

Thanks for any help with this.

It depends what you mean by 'recovering'. A *.wbk backup is a native Word
file and represents the previously saved version of the file. If this file
will not open in Word, then use the recover any text from file option from
file >open (don't forget to reset this option afterwards).
