"Word cannot open this document template"

I downloaded all the recommended service packs and
patches and now I cannot access ANY Office file. I have
no idea what to do now. I restarted my system a few
times to no avail. I do not know where the downloads are
stored so I cannot delete them. HELP - what do I do?

My computer guy just called me and he told me how to do a
system restore and that took care of the problem.

Hi Linda,

Wow! Pretty harsh remedy when more than likely the problem stems from
the "Office Plug-in" option found in Norton. Details can be obtained
using the link in Suzanne Barnhill's reply to your post.

I hope your 'computer guy' doesn't demand a large fee. <grin>
