Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi, would like to know how can I fix or solve this inconvenient. I have just the same problem.

The only particular situation i think might affect is i'm working into a external hard drive formated as Windows NT filesystem.

I tried to regenerate the error on my mac hd, copying files from my external hd and it happened again,

Tried the same in another external hd, fat 32 formated, copying an uncorrupted file, and it did happend.

Is there any solution to avoid this error?

OS 10.5 won't work reliably with Windows file systems.

OS 10.6 is better: it will read and write FAT32 and provide Read-only access
to NTFS.

If you want to read and write documents to NTFS from Mac OS X, you need to
install NTFS-3G:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/ntfs3g.html

Hope this helps
