word cannot open this file because it is larger then 32 megabytes

Hello,
I'm running Windows 2000 with office 2002. I extracted a 636 mb file using
winzip to a network drive and also to my local drive (both have several gb's
of space). Both times it extracted into one generic file. When I tried
opening it with Word I got the error "word cannot open this file because it
is larger then 32 megabytes in size" Any ideas on the cause & resolution to
this?

Thanks in advance,

Wes

Seriously I would tell the person who created that file to create a
number of much smaller ones and open each of them in turn.

Um, actually, what filetype is the file you are trying to open in word?
I hope that it is a document....?

An ISO file is a CD-ROM image ready for burning to CD or DVD. If you have a
CD-Writer with Nero or similar burning software, if you double-click the ISO
file it should launch the burning software and create a CD ROM. It has
nothing to do with Word or Office unless it is a pirated copy of such.

: It's an .iso file. I couldn't open it with Adobe either.

Thanks for your help man.or.fish. Noting the file type enabled me to get the
problem resolved.
