Word cannot save this file error message

Have a user using Word 2002 who does the following:

He gets email with Word attachments. He clicks on the document, saves it to
his hard drive without renaming it at that point. He exits out of the email
and finds the document to begin working on it. When he tries to save the
document he gets an error message which reads "Word cannot save this file
because it is already open elsewhere. (C:/documents and
settings/.../Normal.dot)" Any suggestions?

Can you get some additional information for us? Is he double-clicking
the document to open it or is he starting Word and using File/Open to
open the document?

Also, does the title bar for the document read "Normal.dot" or is it
the name of the document?
