Word Can't Start

My Microsoft Word application starts, but doesn't stay open for long. As
soon as it opens it begins attempting to install a "Microsoft Word Component"
or something to that affect. It actually happens to every one of my Office
programs (Excel and FrontPage at least). It tries to access the CD which I
don't have. Any suggestions?
