Word closes after connection with other computer is terminated

Paumarce

When you open a Word document located in other computer in the net, and then
that document is saved in your computer with other name, if the connection
with the first computer is terminated while you are still working on the
document, Word sends you an error message and closes, even though you are no
longer working in the original document. Is there any way to avoid it other
that closing the file and opening it again?

I suspect the problem lies in the temp files Word creates in the
original location and are not deleted until you close the document.

Try going to Tools/Options/Save and turn on "Make local copy of files
stored on network or removable drives" and see if that resolves the
problem.
