Word closes when in/out of Outlook

Quality in Arkansas

When I go in and out of Outlook Word closes and I have to reopen it when I am
ready to use it again. Never had this problem before. Do have new computer
and software. Is there something I need to set as a default to allow Word to
stay open during my work day? Don't have this problem with Excel or other
programs.

Not familiar with that problem, but I assume that you are using Word as the
editor for Outlook. That option can be selected/disabled somewhere under
the Tools menu in Outlook and doing that my overcome the problem.
