Okay, at least that narrows things down a bit
Is this one specific document that causes the crash or is it any doc you try
to print - including a brand new doc with freshly typed content? If it's
only one or several docs the problem is probably with them. Otherwise:
Have you checked to see if there is an updated printer driver available for
your printer? Check the mfr's web site.
Additionally it might not be a bad idea to do the following in this order:
1- Download & apply the OS X 10.4.11 *Combo Update* for your type of Mac,
which you can get here:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/index1.html
2- Repair Disk Permissions afterward (using Apple's Disk Utility or other
appropriate utility such as Onyx or TechTool Pro)
3- Shut the Mac down then restart.
