Word comments (annotating) system stuck in capitals

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Hi there,
I am editing a document sent to me by a colleague, and for some reason, anything I type comes out in capitals. I have tried checking Font>All Caps (it's unchecked), have turned off Track Formatting in the Review Options, tried Clear Formatting, nothing is working.
When I open a NEW document, and annotate it using comments, the type in the balloon is normal.
And no, I don't have CAPS Lock on!!
If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate some assistance, it's driving me mad!
Thanks,
Tahnee.

I've fixed it!!!!!!!! I had to update the Comments formatting and change it to a new font style. Somehow that over-rode it. Even thought the style formatting wasn't indicating caps in the first place. Thank god it's gone!

Sorry to post unnecessarily!

There is no such thing as an "unnecessary" post in here. The only "silly"
question is one I am too silly to ask :)

The "All Caps" and "Small Caps" text attributes were put on this planet to
confuse and annoy you and I. They have no other purpose; except that when
they get set into a style, they serve as a useful warning to you and I about
the intellectual abilities of the person who did that :)

Cheers

Thank you John, I must admit, your response made me laugh!

Hopefully I'll be able to avoid the little buggers for the rest of my wordprocessing days!
