Word Compile Error Running in VISTA

I have loaded Word 2002 into my new computer running Vista Ultimate but now I
am getting the following error message when Word opens...
Microsoft Visual Basic... Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec.
I have reviewed the suggestions previously listed here, but none of the
links now work (pretty old). Can you help me?
Thanks,
David

Thank you Suzanne. PDFMaker appears as an Add-in in the Global Template,
however "Remove" is grayed out and I am unable to remove it. I have
unchecked the add-in but it re-appears every time I start WORD. I have
searched for the file PDFMaker.dot to remove it and found nothing. What
should I do now?

Thanks again for the information. Should I remove Word and reload? Maybe if
I deleted the Normal.dot file?? How do I find Normal.dot? If I could just
remove the add-in... seems that Word thinks it is loaded and it is not
really. Maybe I should load the PDFMaker and then delete it??

Any further thougths?

Thanks,
David

No, reinstalling Word would accomplish nothing, and deleting Normal.dot
would accomplish nothing except losing all your customizations. Does the
error message give any further indication of where the AutoExec module is
located? Also, have we established whether there are *any* files in Word's
or the Office Startup folder?
