Word configures settings every time its loaded

Every time I load Office 2007/Word it goes through a configuring settings
process that takes a minute or more. How can I eliminate this step and delay.

Do you have more than one version of Word installed (e.g., Word
2003 and Word 2007) on the same computer? If yes, then you can
modify the Windows registry as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=928091 "Information about
using 2007 Office suites and programs on a computer that is
running another version of Office" to stop the reconfiguring process.
