Hi all,

when I open Word, there is on the right side a container with a "New
Document" form. When I chose Help in the Menu Bar, the mentioned
container shows a "Word Help" form. Or on the other hand, there can be
a "First Steps" form,...
Is there a possibility to access this container via .NET and add my
custom form for my own Add-In?

Hmmm...

For Word 2003 (any automation interface) you can do this in a
SmartDocument solution.

For Word 2003 and VSTO 2005 I think it's supported more directly, but I
haven't had time to look at it. But VSTO isn't a global Add-In, it's
document-type specific.

Other than that... a taskpane is really a "super toolbar". I understand
some people have been successfuly creating a CommandBar and embedding a
WindowsForm or custom Control in it so that it looks/behaves like a
built-in taskpane.
