Word Converter error

[Word Converter not Install]

before xp and office 2003 in my pc windows 98 and ms office 2002 install
its show error word converter not install when i click a word file it shows
error
now a day i install windows xp and office xp 2003 its shows same error again
what can i do i cant delete that files its very important for me so plz help
me
the error show like small box when i click file .

It might fix the problem to quit Word and Windows, restart the machine.
Try opening the file.

If that does not work, navigate to Windows or Microsoft update and
install all available Windows XP updates. Next, navigate to Office or
Microsoft update and install all Office updates.

Let us know if that works. Please include details about the system.
