Word converts apostrophe to e (with accent).

When I type an apostrophe in Word 2007 it automatically converts it to an
accented e. I can't find this in auto-correct to turn it off. Can anyone
help?

Left [Ctrl] + [Shift] toggles the keyboard layout.
You may have to click several times to get the keyboard back to the US
layout.

Under â€Regional and Language Options†you can “Change the Key Sequence†such
that the switch are unassigned.
