Word Converts Equations to Picture

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I know there was a similar posts on here earlier about word changing equations to pictures. I have the latest word update, 12.2.1. I know word isn't the best choice for scientific writing but I already have mathtype and endnote and word still wants to convert it to pictures. Any ideas to temporarily fix the solution until I can switch to a better document program?

No suggestions at all, sorry.

You might try the Parallels/Windows XP/Wod 2007 option. That works well.

But the combination of Equations and Endnote is a fairly insoluble problem.
