Ever since running a detect and repair on two of our XP machines with Office
XP standard on it, the following happens:
When launching a macro or calendar wizard (among other things) we get "the
visual basic environment could not be initialized", then "word coud not fire
event".
When using powerpoint help, we get run-time/scripting errors.
When using an add-in like Solver with Excel, it doesn't work.
The catch is, all these things work FINE if we give them full administrator
rights.
The minute they're taken away these things stop working.
I have already tried microsoft's suggestions of unregistering the vbe6.dll
etc etc, renaming normal.dot, but i have tried that all 100 times with no
success. I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 30 times. I've
installed in different directories, I've compared registry settings....but
have found nothing.....
