Word could not fire event

What is the meaning of this message, it does not seem to be an error
because the program runs smoothly before and after this message is
displayed on the screen, but it is obviously out of place in a word processing
program

Does anyone know what it means and how I can stop it ?

Hi K,

What version of Word and what OS are you using?? I found this by searching
the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;272347&Product=wdm>
.. It applies to Word 98 and 2001.

Do not know what you will find in the tech note Beth referred you to, but I
learned to recognize that little alert as a sure sign I had a macro virus. I
believe that was Word 98. I never got into using 2001.
